The first generation device is handheld, beam-like in appearance, that dispenses liquid nitrogen onto the surface which is LED light-guided. Pagani’s Cryo T Shock, on the other hand, has a handheld wand applicator that is gas-free (does not use liquid nitrogen). Both machine’s general goal is to subject the client’s face or body part to a specific temperature in regards to the chosen program. Cryo T Shock for Pain & Inflammation Since long ago, Cold therapy is known to help with inflammation and swelling. Therefore, local cryotherapy is definitely the perfect option for a person who cannot opt for Whole Body Cryotherapy, if the pain, swelling or inflammation was just localized. However, it is to be noted that for recovery from acute injuries (i.e. sprains and strains), inflamed joints, or muscles, it is best to alternate with warm and cold! And not just cold alone, like you, would get from the first generation local cryotherapy. Cryo T Shock is capable to deliver cold energy up to -18 C and warm energy up to 41 C (The temperature is dependent on the program selected). Exchanges between cold and warm are very fast and this is one of the most important features for getting proper therapeutic results. Having a warm setting in the program helps the blood vessels in the targeted area to vasodilate and result to increase blood circulation and oxygenation. This will further increase the recovery process in tandem with the cold setting to decrease the inflammation subsequently. Pro Tip A cool tip is to pair Recovery Science’s Yoga Tune-Up Classes together with Local Cryotherapy or Whole Body Cryotherapy for better mobility and injury prevention. Rest is important for injury prevention but also mindful movement is just as important to facilitate muscle repair and to decrease pain. Cryo T-Shock Body Sculpting As we all know, Fat is a substance that helps the body metabolize some vitamins and keep our skin looking healthy. But it is also the main way the body stores up energy. But of course, having too much is not a good thing. Cellulite, on the other hand, is a popular term to describe fat deposits under the skin. It is characterized by a dimpled or orange peel appearance due to the structural changes underneath the skin’s top layer. Which is a perfectly normal and harmless condition, however is a cosmetic concern of many. Cryo T-Shock is capable of Fat removal and cellulite reduction. But how does it work? The body contouring treatments last for roughly about 30 minutes long and are done manually employing a massage technique. The session begins with 2 minutes of heat and then a prolonged period of cold and then back to heat for another 2 to 3 minutes of heat. The purpose of the treatment is to lower the temperature of the fat cells enough to cause what is known as the phenomenon of apoptosis. This phenomenon is triggered when the temperature of the fat tissue is between 12 C to 17 C which causes these fat cells to die without causing any skin damage or damage to other cells. The fat cells are then naturally passed through the body’s lymphatic system and excreted through sweat and urine. Through study, this technique is definitely effective but results would vary for every individual. Part of the fat cells is eliminated during the sessions, as the rest would be eliminated within the 2-week gap period to your next session. The treatment is generally painless, as others would either describe it as rather soothing. Cryo T Shock eliminates cellulite How often Should I do Cryo T Shock? The Fat Removal and Cellulite Reduction program can be done once every 14 days at Recovery Science. It is recommended that following the treatment that you do a 30-minute vigorous workout or 30-minute compression session or a whole-body massage on the area done to promote lymphatic drainage and accelerate the benefits of the session. You may be able to do a maximum of Two parts a session. This is to not overload the body’s pathways. There is also a strong internal cooling of the tissues, so treating more zones at the same time could cause hypothermia and fatigue.
